The Build Out Process

Here's a look at the build out process of our new location at Whistle Stop Mall in Franklin, NC. We're thrilled that God has provided us this space to lead more people to become fully devoted followers of Christ!

Around Life

It's been a crazy couple months around Life Church but have finally moved into our new location at Whistle Stop Mall in Franklin. It's been an incredible process to see it all come together. We've got 3 Sunday's under our belts in the new location and things have been great. The LifeKIDS area is incredible and the auditorium space is really great for Sunday mornings. I just want to thank every person involved in making this project happen. We didn't want this space so our church could be more comfortable and relaxed; it's for a unique opportunity to see more people come to know Jesus Christ as the savior and the capital C Church grow.

Wow, that was quite an exciting start for our first week in our new location at The Whistle Stop Mall!! There was a general buzz in the LifeKIDS area the whole service!! I would have to say the most common comment I heard from people was just “Wow” as they stood and took it all in!  Please tell us what you thought about it!  I loved being there and am so grateful for the many hearts and hands that spent countless hours to make this all a reality! God is so faithful in providing!

We've Moved!

We have now moved to our new location at Whistle Stop Mall in Franklin. This permanent location gives us 15,000 square feet of space for Sunday experiences, LifeKIDS and students. It's been an amazing effort by so many Lifers to help make it happen.
We will continue to ask God for the opportunity to lead more people to become fully devoted followers of Christ through the use of this new facility.

Wow, we are getting so close to moving into the new building and along with that we are starting new curriculum in LifeKIDS!!! In a few weeks our 12 week volunteer schedule will come to an end and it is time to create a new one!! We have several volunteer opportunities available for YOU to serve in LifeKIDS!! The last two weeks from Steven Furtick have been awesome on “Found Favor”!!

“I will look on you with favor and make you fruitful and increase your numbers, and I will keep my covenant with you.” Leviticus 26:9

Frame your world with favor.
Open your eyes to opportunity.
Give yourself to obedience.
FOG
Follow hard after Jesus and his favor will follow you!!!

As we seek Him daily, he will look upon us with favor!! Make time for your relationship with Christ and recognize the favor and opportunity he has placed in front of you! It is not always easy but it is so worth it!!

Around Life

There's a lot happening at Life Church and it's so much fun to be a part of.

The building project is coming along really well. Be sure and check out the Facebook page to see updates and pictures. Remember, this isn't about having a building. It's about having another incredible resource to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with more people. I'm fired up about this.

Sunday was great. We wrapped up the series Found Favor with Steven Furtick. Be sure and watch this and know what the favor of God is all about.

As volunteers you inspire those around you! Here are a few key verses that spoke to me as I think and pray over our volunteers both current and those that haven’t yet taken the first step to serve!

Generosity:
" A generous man will prosper, he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed."
Proverbs 11:25

Humility:
rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death—even death on a cross!
Philippians 2:7-8

Gifts:
There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.
1 Corinthians 12:4

Light:
He says, "It is too small a thing that You should be My Servant
To raise up the tribes of Jacob and to restore the preserved ones of Israel;
I will also make You a light of the nations
So that My salvation may reach to the end of the earth."-

Life Church Franklin happens each week because of an amazing team of volunteers that serve with their hearts and hands to bring others to become fully devoted followers of Christ and I personally thank God daily for them!!

Around Life

- Sunday started an amazing new series called "Samson". If you're a guy you need to take a few minutes to watch this.

 

- The new building location at Whistle Stop Mall is really coming along. Electrical and Framing inspections are done and insulation goes in this week with sheet rock going up next week! Continue to pray for this amazing location to bring us more opportunity to reach more people with the Gospel.

I pray you had a Happy Valentine’s Day with the ones you love!! It was fun preparing for LifeKIDS over the last few weeks and taking a break from our regular curriculum to spend some time in the word and see how we can show God’s love on Valentine’s Day!!
Each class in LifeKIDS from 3 year olds up to 6th graders had treats and activities based on scriptures of LOVE!! A great resource that I have been using lately is Ministry to Children and they had an article with a list of verses to use!

The 1st through 4th grade classes made Valentine cards for the nursing home and I heard they loved receiving them! I think the teachers were just as excited as the kids to celebrate!

Friday, February 3 we had our first ever Daddy/Daughter dance with the Loop 5th and 6th grade girls! It was a fabulous night out for all and we look forward to it being the beginning of a wonderful night to be expanded on in the future! Thank you for all that were a part of that night!!

God is so good and his wonders are shining in LifeKIDS!

• Our Safari class is so sweet and we have an amazing new team serving there! God has placed a burden for this age group and their families on Julie Sistik, therefore she is heading up a curriculum for them!

• Several of our volunteers have just had babies or will be having babies very soon, so that Safari class should be very full within the year!!

• New volunteers are being placed in several classrooms and they are loving their time bringing Jesus to the kids level!

• Loop leaders met and are implementing new ideas as they lead and are looking forward to building relationships with the kids through outreach and some fun activities planned for the year!

• Kids are inviting friends to come and hear about Jesus!!

• A new family said, “Thank you and all of the volunteers for the warm welcome! Our son really enjoyed his time on Sunday and we will definitely be back.”

• Our youth volunteers are eager to serve and do a great job!

• Our building is coming along and the walls for LifeKIDS will be up soon!!! Oh my what will it be like to have classrooms??

I am looking forward to what God has for this ministry and keep my heart and hands open to how He wants to build it! Opportunities are available to be a part of what He is doing through LifeKIDS!! Please pray about joining our team, it is a blessing to pour into the next generation!!

Around Life

Here are some thoughts about things that are going on right now and in the future at Life Church:

• We are in the middle of this amazing series that is kicking off 2012 called "Better". Craig Groeschel is walking us through how God has shown us in his word how we can live a better, more purposeful life for him. This past Sunday was incredible. Craig nailed it when he said: "Your life is too valuable, your calling too great, and your God too good to waste your life on things that don't matter."
• We have added an extra week of Better, so it will now be a 5 week series! I can't wait to see what God continues to teach us through these next dew weeks.
• We had another great week with LifeKIDS. Lisa reported that we had over 76 kids this Sunday. God is doing incredible things through this part of our church. We remain committed to loving and teaching these children about Christ's love for them while partnering with each family.
• We have an cool event planned for our new building where we will spend time asking God to use this facility to allow us to reach more people with the Gospel of Jesus. Look for details this Sunday.
• SWITCH is in full swing. Jeremy Irwin, our new students pastor, is doing a great job. If you have a student 7th through 12th grade be sure and join them Sunday nights.

“He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.” Ephesians 4:16

This verse struck me this week as I read it and made me think about Life Church Franklin and who/what we are. Being a part of the “whole body” is doing your part to “fit together”! At Life Church that means being connected through attending Sunday services, being a part of a Life Group, serving and giving. When you are engaged in each of the above then you are doing your “own special work to help the other parts grow”! Take some time though the fast to pray about your walk with Him. Allow God to stretch and grow you spiritually!

“so that the whole body is healthy and growing full of love.” There are an awesome group of volunteers each week that serve and desire to see others become fully devoted followers of Christ! The opportunities are there for all, small group leaders, host team, worship/tech team, set up/tear down and of course LifeKIDS!!! This week is our Life Group Fair and I encourage all to sign up and become part of a group, God has great things in store for you!
